We are Marcus and Chrissie Redding and we are originally from Vale, North Carolina. God called us into vocational ministry in 1992. We have three children. Our two sons live in Boone, NC. Our oldest, Seth, works for Samaritan’s Purse, and our youngest, Samuel, is a senior at Appalachian State University. They both love Jesus, family, and music! Our daughter is in heaven and has been since January 31, 2007. We are a very close family!
Marc was pastor of two different churches in NC. We were at Oak Ridge Baptist Church for just under six years, and at Hull’s Grove Baptist Church for just under seventeen years. While at Hull’s Grove, we began using a multisite model that had preaching site pastors for each site. This model helped us birth congregations which had the support they needed in order to best reach the specific group they were called to. God allowed us to reach further into darkness as we shared the story of Jesus in many different venues.

  • Will you respond to what the Holy Spirit is stirring in you as you read this site?
  • Will you contact us and share what God is doing in your life?

We would love to tell you more about how partnerships are a key factor in our work!

On February 18, 1994, Seth Timothy was added to our roster.  Marc graduated from Fruitland and began school at North Greenville University.  Then on August 8, 1995, Samuel Lee, the final member of our team was born.

We were so blessed in our pastorate at Oak Ridge, but in January, 1999, God moved us to Hull’s Grove Baptist Church, Vale, NC.  God began to do amazing things in the church family and we saw much fruit.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text font_size=”16″]Then, on January 31, 2007, Sadie Marie Redding graduated from this life into the amazement of heaven through a car accident.  Prior to her passing, Sadie had taught our family a new way to celebrate Jesus through contemporary music.  The first album we purchased as a family was Casting Crown’s album, “LifeSong.” So, when Sadie passed and we were planning her “Life Celebration,” there was no question as to most of the songs that would be sung at her service.

After much planning, the theme of Sadie’s Celebration became “LifeSong.”  A wonderful vision was now beginning to emerge as the lyrics helped us keep our focus on what really matters. That was the testimony of Sadie and the desire of our family.  So, our family motto was for our LifeSong to sing in such a way that we could sign the Lord’s name to the end of each day…We want our LifeSong to sing for Jesus![/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][rd_line type=”rd_line_double” color=”#a1b1bc”][vc_column_text font_size=”18″ css=”.vc_custom_1452284769672{margin-top: 15px !important;margin-right: 15px !important;margin-bottom: 15px !important;margin-left: 15px !important;}”]

[/vc_column_text][rd_line type=”rd_line_double” color=”#a1b1bc”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text font_size=”16″]After Sadie’s graduation to heaven, God began to open many doors for us as a family.  We were becoming more and more concerned with God’s church across the world and not just in Vale, NC.  Then came the day that Hull’s Grove voted to become a multi-site congregation, and a complete change in our ministry began to unfold.   The Baptist State Convention of NC asked Marc to help them reach out to existing churches to help them get involved in the needs around our State.  Things were going along great, but we had no idea that God was about to place us on a new journey.

A few years prior to that, a wonderful lady had moved from Baltimore, MD, back to Vale, NC, and God used her to introduce us to the need in that region.  So we began by helping a new church plant in the Northeast Region.  We had no idea that God was about to move our hearts to Baltimore!   During these days, God gave us Dale and Celia South who became our new Baltimore family.  They would allow us to stay with them for a week at a time as we were praying through what to do next.  God’s provision was such a blessing![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text font_size=”16″]Duane Kuykendall had become one of Marc’s best friends.  As that friendship grew, they often discussed the need to create a network to help churches multiply to reach lostness.  So, when we looked at the opportunities in Baltimore, there was no doubt that we wanted to present our work in light of the fact that we want to “network” with other believers for the glory of God.

As Marc began researching how his model of training could mesh into what already existed in Baltimore, he learned that a new training called Multiply (now Send Network Training) was coming from NAMB.  Marc asked about getting trained in this material and, of course, God worked it out!  A large piece of the Send Network Training includes coaching, so the State DOM for Maryland/Delaware asked Marc to help him set those pieces up, and the rest is history!

As stated earlier, in April 2017, Marc heard about TheMultiplication Pipeline, and God began giving us our next assignment.  The next step is to retool our older versions of training in a new format which will be easier for local churches to better understand how to disciple their people towards multiplication.  There’s more to come![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
