“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches.”

John 15:4-5

This is the very reason we choose to be part of the Southern Baptist Convention.  The SBC Family has taken the call of Our Lord Jesus seriously to “…go into all the world and make disciples of all the nations….”  As Christians, we all have our part to fulfill and we all need to partner together as the body of Christ.  We believe these “partnerships” should be defined in order for us to work together most efficiently.  This is the very purpose of the SBC.  Using a tool called the Cooperative Program (CP), SBC church families organize together to reach the world with the good news of the gospel![/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text font_size=”16″]These partnerships begin with the local church.  Jesus promised that He would “build” His church and the “…gates of hell would not prevail against it.”  In SBC life, local churches partner to help each other through a system called “Local Associations.”  Associations also partner together by joining with other associations in their State Convention to carry out their work.  Each State Convention partners together for mission work within North America through our North American Mission Board (NAMB), and for international mission work within International Mission Board (IMB).  (Click Here – to find your State and local association)[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”full-width-section” parallax_background=”1″ css=”.vc_custom_1452191219250{margin-bottom: 0px !important;border-bottom-width: 1px !important;padding-top: 55px !important;padding-bottom: 55px !important;background-color: #191b20 !important;}”][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”So what does this mean for you?” font_container=”tag:h3|font_size:35px|text_align:center|color:%23ffffff|line_height:35px” use_theme_fonts=”yes” css=”.vc_custom_1452453469159{margin-bottom: 10px !important;}”][rd_line type=”rd_line_bold” color=”#a1b1bc” width=”50″ line_pos=”center” margin_top=”6″ margin_bottom=”20″][vc_column_text font_size=”18″ css=”.vc_custom_1507827955120{padding-right: 50px !important;padding-left: 50px !important;}”]

We help by connecting local churches to resources within our SBC Family.  Because we believe Jesus ordained for the local church to be the instrument He uses to share the gospel, we seek to fulfill Ephesians 4:12 in equipping the saints to do the work of the ministry.

How do we do that?
